Some advice please!?
My daughter is 10 weeks old and for the past couple of nights she has wiggled either at a 90 degree angle or further up in her cot while she is asleep, is this normal? I am worried she is going to kick her blanket over her head!
Also in september I will be going back to college (i am 17) but I dont want to leave my daughter in the crech as I dont feel comfortable with the idea, shewill be 5 months then. I want to leave her with my mum, I dont get much money, is there anything out there which can pay my mum for looking after her as I only get enough for me and my daughter to live on and cannot aford to pay her (she said I dont have to but I want to).
Also me and my partner have been talking about having another baby but we are not sure what way to do it, either wait untill I have finished college, and get a job then try, or have two close in age so I can go on and finish college then get a career without having to leave 4 maternity.
Can some1 give me some advice on any or all?
As far as the wiggling goes, I put my eight week old down in his crib at night with one of those things thats supposed to keep them from rolling over or moving around, but he manages to be lying a completely different way when I wake up in the morning and get him out of the crib. I believe its completely normal.
If you go to your local health department usually social services can help you pay for childcare, which may be very cheap or even free. They are there to help you, so take advantage of it!
When it comes to having another child I would wait until college is over (I'm 19 and go to college as well) because it does take a lot to raise a child. If you really want another baby you could try to have one and time it so that it will be there right after you graduate from college, that way you can be out of work and begin to search for a career. That way you won't have to start a new job then right away go out on maternity leave.
Also, don't listen to the people that criticize you because you can't afford things. Nothing says you can't have a baby just because your broke. Thats what the government is there for. Yes, people take advantage of it but if you need it, you need it. I get all the help I can and I'm sure there are programs available in your area as well.
