Is there really a lot of interest in Rugby and Cricket in the Philippines?

I have yet to see an athletic shirt by a supporter of either Rugby or Cricket. I have seen many NBA
tee shirts. Even, baseball and some football, and soccer. Many Pacquaio Team tee shirts.
So, I wonder why Philippine television networks choose to televise sports where little if any interest is.
I don't understand Cricket and Rugby is just a mix of soccer and football and appears to be out of control sport.
My opinion, what is yours?
Interesting comments, aimdeep and seaman. So you gotta wonder why so much Rugby and Cricket coverage on Philippine television and so little NBA PLAYOFF coverage.
Home Channel Cable Television televises on BC TV and ESPN and Solar Sports. I am almost certain that they buy the rights to televise Rugby and Cricket which are purchased cheaper than the rights to televise NBA games or MLB or NFL games.

Nerver evan see or heard of a rugy field or match here. I would say the interest is zero. Now Basketball and soccer are very popular.
