Do you think its okay to have a bridal shower even if you lived together for 5 years before marriage?
Im getting married in may and no one had me a bridal shower. im cool with that cause we have pretty much everything we need.....but my gram sent me stuff anyways!
Now my moms asking me if she should have had one?
When my wife and I got married, we had each had our own place for about 10 years. We had all the things we needed for a house and did not want more. So, we didn't have a bridal shower (or even presents at the wedding -- we did appreciate the presents that some people brought even though we stated on the invitation that we didn't want presents).
I regret it a bit because I think it is partially why my spouse never got to know my sisters well and let's just say they don't get along as well as I would like them to.
Bridal showers are a place where the women on both sides of a marriage can get to know one another.
