Color Block

What can be used as a medium for color when doing wood block printing?

This is a question that is specifically for anyone who has done or who does wood block printing. Acrylic paint...oil paint...house paint...ink....powdered pigment....?

I always use block printing ink, either speedball brand or the generic dick blick equivalent. This would give you the best results but you could probably use any kind of paint with varying degrees of success, I doubt your ordinary ink would be thick enough though.
